Elementary & Secondary Loan > Eligibility

You are eligible for our Elementary & Secondary Loan if:

• You are borrowing for an elementary or secondary school student
• Your student is attending a TERI-eligible school (call (800) 255-TERI to confirm eligibility of school)

You or a co-signer must also meet the following credit guidelines:

• Have an employment history of at least two years (if self-employed, have been in business for at least two years);
• Have proof of current income;
• Have a satisfactory credit history of at least 21 months;
• Have resided at his or her current and immediately preceding addresses for a total of at least 12 months; and
• Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident and has resided in the U.S. for the previous two years.

International Borrowers

International borrowers must apply with a qualified co-signer. Please contact TERI's Customer Service at (800) 255-TERI for details on acceptable student visas and other required documentation.
